  • OKDHS AIDS Coordination & Information Services (ACIS)
    • Tom is at Expressions on Wednesdays all day and on other days by appointment only.
    • Additional case manager position is still planned, just waiting on the details to get worked out by the agencies. 
       
  • Expressions Community Center
    • Jenny is conducting all new HOPWA intakes, and then clients are assigned to one of the other HOPWA case managers.

  • Latino Community Development Agency (LCDA)
    • September 28th is LCDA annual luncheon at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. The LCDA is celebrating 25 years of operation and service in OKC!
    • Still hosting 2 support groups, both for Spanish-speaking persons with HIV, both are hosted at Expressions.
      • Women's group: 1st Saturday @ 3pm
      • MSM group: 1st Saturday @ 6pm

  • Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma
    • Barbi is scheduling clients for Marketplace navigation/enrollment. Contact her at 488-6782.
       
  • Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund (OACF)
    • OK HIV Advocacy Team meets on the 1st Friday of the month @ 9am at the OACF office. If you'd like to join or just want more info, contact Michi Medley
    • Red Tie Night will be March 4, 2017 at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Tickets are available now.
       
  • Oklahoma Primary Care Association / Marketplace Navigators
    • Reminder: Open Enrollment begins November 1st! Clients should contact the Navigators now to schedule appointments, as they will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • New Marketplace handout
    • Enrollment events tentatively scheduled for Nov 19th & Dec 10th, 10am-2pm each day (More details coming soon; we'll send out a formal announcement.)
       
  • Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) HIV/STD Service
    • Planning to update standards for case management in 2017; specific training events will be held as that process moves along.
       
  • OUHSC Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI)
    • New Nurse Practitioner, Melissa Alfred, will be starting Oct 4th.
      • As always, she will be in training for several months before beginning to see patients.
      • This is a full-time position, so once she is up-and-running, it will greatly boost IDI's capacity. 
    • Reminder that the FreshLife farmers market is held monthly, on the 3rd Friday of the month at 2:00pm, at RAIN.
      • Clients must be referred by a case manager or by the IDI dietitian, Jussara Madrid. Contact her by email or phone at (405) 271-8001 x38214.
    • Three open positions: front desk, LPN, and case manager (requires MSW). Apply online.

    • Program continues to grow; serving 100 families (300 adults + 50 kids) per month.
